The Department of Computer Science and IT was established in the year 2000 to impart quality education in the field of computer science. The form of technology and computers are being used in various day-to-day applications such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Education, E-Commerce, Business, Media, Music, and Defense, etc. Computers are an integral part of society and should be learned the computer education.
The department has modern facilities for teaching, learning, and research. It has well-equipped computing laboratories and a rich repository of software covering a wide spectrum of applications. It also promotes active industry-institute collaboration.
Our faculty members are dedicated to providing our students with the best possible education by offering courses in the latest technology and providing the attention and support that is needed to produce talented graduates and post-graduates in the field of computer science. The institution offers the UG computer courses such as B.Sc.(Computer Science), BCA and M.Sc. (Software Engineering) as a PG course.
These courses provide knowledge of various computer programming languages and computer technologies like C, C++, VC++, JAVA, Oracle 11G, VB.NET, C#, Linux, Matlab, Neural Networks, etc.

Biotechnology helps the students to find employment in Biotech companies, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals and agriculture-based industries, Food, and beverage industries, Environment and energy sectors. Biotechnologists are required in research and development, production, quality control, management, marketing, contract research, academics, and entrepreneurship. Global career opportunities in the field of Science & Technology are available for biotechnologists. Bioinformatics is an exciting field that integrates Life Sciences (Biology) with computer Technology. The recent explosion of available biological data creates increasing demand, which far exceeds the supply of skilled Bioinformatics scientists with comprehensive training in both Biology and Computer Science.
Current advances increase the need for the creation of new and innovative bioinformatics tools. Unique computational tools open a vast potential for new scientific discovery, with the ultimate goal of understanding and modeling living systems. The Bioinformatics industry is growing rapidly with increasing career opportunities throughout the world.
